Answer key to sample problems for test 4

Here is the answer key to the sample problems found on the I-drive.

1-C, 2-D, 3-B, 4-B, 5-B,

6-D, 7-B, 8-A, 9-A, 10-C, 11-C, 12-B,

13-A, 14-B, 15-C, 16-C, 17-B, 18-D,

19-C, 20-D, 21-C, 22-B, 23-A, 24-A, 25-B, 26-C,

27-C, 28-B, 29-C, 30-B, 31-C, 32-C, 33-D,

34-B, 35-C, 36-C, 37-C, 38-A.

If we find out any of these to be incorrect or you wish to have some clarification, we can talk about it in the morning. I understand some of the material on national savings and capital flows is difficult. We used a lot of algebra. You were warned early on. This is likely to be the most challenging of algebra use in this class. I probably put on an excess of problems on this topic on this sample test since we did not have a homework assignment on this material. (Maybe I slacked a little on that. Sorry.)

I notice that I didn't put on any problems using the "money multiplier" and multiple deposit expansion. But it is employed on problem 3 on the homework.

Comments on Test 1

The sample problems for the first test are now available in my I-drive folder.

If you need assistance to connect to the I-drive, you can find that information at the following link: http://www.iup.edu/itsupportcenter/.

Also on the I-drive I have posted a copy of the review sheet that was handed out in class. I crossed out the things that were not covered in class and will not be covered on this first test.

Also, problem 3 of Homework #2 is not required to be completed for Friday. We will NOT go over that problem before the test, but we will discuss problems 1 and 2 before the test.

The answer key to the sample problems will be posted on this blog site later today.
